Colin Roche

Colin is a Principal Transportation Engineer at Flow Transportation Specialists, with over 10 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning across New Zealand and Australia. He has contributed to a wide range of transport and infrastructure projects, including traffic engineering design, road safety audits, and the planning and design of developments from small to large scale. His experience spans all project phases, from concept development through to detailed design, and he has undertaken numerous Traffic Impact Assessments (TIAs) and Integrated Transport Assessments (ITAs). Colin also has experience in construction monitoring for small to medium scale road infrastructure projects.

He has led and managed various traffic and transportation projects for a broad client base, including local authorities and central government agencies, giving him a well-rounded understanding of stakeholder expectations and requirements. Colin regularly reviews resource consent applications on behalf of the New Zealand Transport Agency, Auckland Council, and Auckland Transport, covering developments ranging from minor proposals to large-scale commercial and residential projects. Notably, he has provided technical input into the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Public Transport Design Guidelines and Auckland Transport’s Code of Practice, now known as the Transport Design Manual.

“I am glad to be back with the Flow Family and confident that I am in the best place to help shape future transport choices across the country for years to come.”
