Flow was part of the project team for the first ever surf park in New Zealand, located in Dairy Flat north of Auckland, for the developer, Aventuur. The large-scale development will have a wave pool, accommodation, visitor amenities, solar farm and a data centre.

Situated in a rural site with multiple Notices of Requirements (NoR) proposed across the site, Flow led the transport planning of the project and liaised with Waka Kotahi and Auckland Transport regarding the NoR. Subsequently, under Section 178 of the Resource Management Act, works as part of the development was approved across the designated land.

As part of the Resource Consent application for the project, Flow prepared a comprehensive Integrated Transport Assessment report, designed a new intersection, new bus stops and crossing, and provided inputs on the on-site parking and roading layout. This complex project involved coordination with the planners, civil engineers, architects and project managers, which Flow delivered efficiently and collaboratively. This project was granted approval under the COVID-19 Fast-track consenting in 2023.
