"Towards an effective CO₂ measurement tool for commuter travel."


Growing numbers of companies and schools are choosing to reduce their impact on the environment by measuring, managing and offsetting the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for which they are responsible.  However, at this point there is no “one best” tool that will help organisations to track the GHG impacts of small changes in commuter travel such as might be achieved by implementing a Travel Plan.  There is, however, a clear need for such a tool.

This paper will assess the difficulties and challenges in developing these tools that led to ARTA's newly developed methodology that asses the GHG impacts of the TravelWise programme.
