Michelle Seymour - Transportation Planner

Michelle Seymour joined Flow in September 2007.

Michelle studied at the University of Auckland and holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Geography and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing.  Prior to working with Flow Michelle was employed by a large multinational shipping line where she moved through various departmental rotations.  Accordingly, Michelle has a sound understanding of freight and port operations.  With Flow she is mainly involved in the development of traffic and transport assessments, and assisting in the development of strategy documents. She has undertaken intersection assessments in SIDRA and has an understanding of SATURN.  Michelle has completed the Fundementals of Traffic Engineering Short Course from Auckland University. 

Michelle’s most recent projects have included
  • Integrated Transport Assessments for retirement villages in Auckland, Hamilton and Dunedin, and commercial developments and plan changes in Auckland
  • Assisting in the development of the Regional Arterial Road Plan
  • Research project on the use of mandatory versus voluntary travel planning techniques
  • Involved in Strategic Corridor developmentwork for North Shore City
  • Sign and Marking Designs for proposed road developments
Michelle has a keen interest in sustainable transport and travel planning initiatives.
